Sony Home Video releases Lost Horizon, 80th anniversary edition, October 3, 2017

Sony Home Video recently released Lost Horizon on Blu-ray to commemorate the film’s 80th anniversary. The disc, accompanied by a 24-page Digibook with an essay by film historian Jeremy Arnold, includes one minute of recently unearthed footage from a worn 16mm print that has been placed back in the 1937 film scored by Dimitri Tiomkin.

The film, nominated for seven Academy Awards, is included in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
