Nasrollah Davoodi, an Iranian composer and film music researcher, will deliver a lecture on Dimitri Tiomkin at the Niavaran Cultural Center, Tehran, Iran on Thursday, February 14th, 2019, at 5 pm.
“Dimitri Tiomkin: A Russian Composer Who Created the Most American Film Scores,” takes a look at his career and music.
“I have always admired the maestro’s music and it’s a great honor and privilege to analyze his personal style of composition and the marvelous legacy he left for many generations of film music lovers to enjoy,” Davoodi remarked about the program.
The lecture is part of a monthly series on the subject of the great composers of Hollywood. Davoodi’s previous presentations were on Alex North, Elmer Bernstein, and Jerry Goldsmith.
