LSO Live to release Dimitri Tiomkin: The Greatest Film Scores

The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) has announced the release of “Dimitri Tiomkin: The Greatest Film Scores” on its LSO Live label. Scheduled for official release on July 30, 2012 in the UK and August 14 in the U.S., the CD can be pre-ordered now for shipping on July 23.

The recording took place last October at the Barbican with the London Symphony Orchestra and London Voices conducted by Richard Kaufman and vocals by Whitney Claire Kaufman and Andrew Playfoot.

The Direct Stream Digital (DSD) recording was produced by James Mallinson, with balance engineer Neil Hutchinson for Classic Sound Ltd. The resulting Super Audio CD (SACD) is catalog number LSO0720 and the Universal Product Code (UPC) is 822231172024.
